Lieutenant Commander Andrew Baldwin, M.D., board-certified in family medicine, is a U.S. Navy physician, humanitarian, media-personality, 8-time Ironman finisher, marathoner, and triathlete currently serving as the Senior Medical Officer on the USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD8) Amphibious Assault Ship home based in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Baldwin assisted the U.S. Surgeon General with a program called Healthy Youth for a Healthy Future and currently serves as an advocate for the Let's Move Campaign, headed by First Lady Michelle Obama. Both of these programs target childhood overweight and obesity.

 

Dr. Baldwin is active in charitable and humanitarian efforts. He is founder of the Got Your Back Network, a 501(c)(3) foundation that provides an avenue for the children of fallen soldiers to learn and be inspired by the most successful leaders of our generation.

Dr. Baldwin has also been named to the All-Navy Triathlon Team five times and was a three time U.S.A. Triathlon All-American. As an endurance athlete and national health & fitness specialist, he has competed in numerous triathlons and racing events internationally.
